About Once
Once (for Eleven of September) is the unofficial denomination of an area of the neighborhood of Balvanera, in the city of Buenos Aires. It is an unofficial neighborhood, since it is not among the 48 neighborhoods in which the city is legally divided. Its name comes from the railway terminal located in the center of the area, Once de Septiembre, which in turn comes from September 11, 1852, date in which the State of Buenos Aires separated from the rest of Argentina.
