Sandy Springs is a city in northern Fulton County, Georgia, United States, and part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The 2017 estimated population was 106,739. In 1842, the Austin-Johnson House was erected on what is now Johnson Ferry Road. It is the oldest house in Sandy Springs. Sandy Springs has a humid subtropical climate. The Sandy Springs Festival is the largest community event in Sandy Springs, with approximately 30,000 attendees, established in 1984.
