Surfers Paradise (“Surfers”) is a coastal town and suburb in the city of Gold Coast, Queensland. Surfers Paradise had a population of 23,689 people in 2016. Cavill Mall is at the hear of Surfers and runs through the shopping and entertainment area. Surfers Paradise is the entertainment and tourism center of the Gold Coast. Surfers Paradise is a popular destination for beach-goers as it is warm throughout the year.
The Gold Coast Hebrew Congregation was founded in 1958 to provide services to the residents of Surfers Paradise and the many Jewish visitors on holiday. The Gold Coast Hebrew Congregation has a social hall, mikveh, daily services and Shabbat services.

JOFY, or "Jewish Observant Friendly" Establishments are lodging establishments offering special services for Jewish Observant guests such as Shabbat meals, accommodation on lower floors and regular keys for the rooms. It can also be a NON KOSHER establishment located in walking distance from the local Shul, community or kosher restaurants area.
