Kingston is the capital of the island of Jamaica, lying on its southeast coast. In the city center, the Bob Marley Museum is housed in the reggae singer’s former home. Northeast of the city, the Blue Mountains are a renowned coffee-growing region with trails and waterfalls. Kingston has a tropical climate, characterised by a wet season from May to November, which coincides with the hurricane season, and a dry season from December to April. In the 21st century, Kingston has experienced temperatures as high as 38.8 °C (102 °F) and as low as 13.4 °C (56 °F).
