Migdal HaEmek is a city in the North District of Israel. According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics, at the end of 2007 the city had a total population of 14,800. There is a tower to the north-east, above the town, this what the town is named after ‘Tower of the Valley’. The town was formed in 1953. Today you can tour the town by Segway or Electric Bike on organised tours. Migdal HaEmek is a good base to discover the north of Israel.
Every year volunteers from Habonim Dror come to Migdal HaEmek to volunteer in the community. Typically these roles include members of Kvutsat Yovel, and involve teaching in primary and secondary schools, and working with local Magen David Adom units. There are well over 30 synagogues in Migdal HaEmek, and a good range of kosher restaurants.

JOFY, or "Jewish Observant Friendly" Establishments are lodging establishments offering special services for Jewish Observant guests such as Shabbat meals, accommodation on lower floors and regular keys for the rooms. It can also be a NON KOSHER establishment located in walking distance from the local Shul, community or kosher restaurants area.
