Amherst is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. Amherst is the most populated town in upstate New York, and an inner ring suburb of Buffalo. Amherst is home to the north campus of the University at Buffalo, the graduate campus of Medaille College, a satellite campus of Bryant & Stratton College, and Daemen College.
During the 1950s and 1960s with the decline of nearby Buffalo many of the Jewish community began to relocate to Amherst, this was a much more popular location as it was more conducive to a Jewish family life.

It can also be a NON KOSHER establishment located in walking distance from the local Shul, community or kosher restaurants area.
