About Jewish Quarter and the Right Bank
Paris is a great city to visit, the centre is not large and has much to offer the tourist, cafe life is still alive and well in the city and there are many museums, art galleries, beautiful shops and monuments to visit. Paris has over 36 million visitors every year. The overall climate throughout the year is mild and moderately wet. Summer days are usually warm and pleasant with average temperatures between 15 and 25 °C (59 and 77 °F), and a fair amount of sunshine. The architecture of Paris owes much to the Masterplan and slum clearance of Haussmann under the patronage of Napolean III between 1848 and 1860. Many of the boulevards seen today are from this time. Paris is an easy city to discover by foot or by public transport.
