The 20th arrondissement is internationally known for the Père Lachaise Cemetery where one can find the tombs of many famous artists. Known as Ménilmontant, it is located on the right bank of the River Seine and contains the city's cosmopolitan districts Ménilmontant and Belleville.
This is not one of the touristy arrondissement, it is also becoming less popular as a place for Jewish families to live, many have moved out of the area for western Paris of the south east of the city, it still has a few kosher establishments and synagogues.

JOFY, or "Jewish Observant Friendly" Establishments are lodging establishments offering special services for Jewish Observant guests such as Shabbat meals, accommodation on lower floors and regular keys for the rooms. It can also be a NON KOSHER establishment located in walking distance from the local Shul, community or kosher restaurants area.
Please note - *JOFY does NOT mean that KOSHER food is served on the premises!
